Solingen Dagger....Opinions?

Hi,
I'd like opinions on this dagger. It's being offered to me, and these are the only photos that I have. If the offered opinions could also include a fair ballpark price for me to pay, I'd be grateful.....

It looks like an Alcoso long police bayo. I couldn't tell from the photos if it's slotted or not. It looks good to me, but Im not a bayo collector. In great condition, which this one looks like, assuming it's real, I think between $500-$800 is the going cost. I sold an Eickhorn about 3 years ago for $450 so I assume this is the going price. Do a search on Johnson or Wittman to get an idea. Then subtract 15-20% for a private party sale price.

I think Swordfish's thoughts on the piece are right on. The piece is unslotted which is not a problem, most were unslotted.

A suggestion would be to find out if the rear of the scabbard's top fitting has a matching number to the one on the bayonet's crossguard. Not that it would be a deal breaker, but a matched set is worth more IMO.
