Looks promising...I think that one may be okay from the photos. I'm personally not a fan of the aluminum pieces, but the Land Customs daggers are hard to find, so...

This dagger looks like a good one to me. Although the springy wire is unusual to see on the LC the rest of the piece looks commensurate with what I would expect to see. I note the enhancements to the crossguard with particular interest because it is rarely seen but on a positive note I have seen theis fine detailing before & it was on a Horster. Enhanced detail on the pomell too! I have never seen this on a repo. Very nice condition indeed & if this was not completely legitimate I should be very surprised.

you should never take the dagger apart man

Leave the knife as is & just oil on blade with ligth oil.

I hate when daggers where taken apart .......

I have a minty land Customs with hangar and porte pee myself.

Typical Land Custom's by Horster. I would NEVER oil a TR blade on a dress piece. The oil tends to hold contaminates next to the metal and causes rust and darkening over time. Also, once you oil the blade and put it back in the scabbard, the oil becomes part of the keepers in the scabbard and collects dirt and contaminates in the scabbard forever and are on the blade everytime you take it in and out and will become gummy after a few years.
I leave my blades out of the scabbards and wipe them with a terrycloth (clean and dry)towel occassionaly and use a silicon base polish on them on the original light cleaning to remove any finger prints when I obtain a piece.

PS: I store my blade in a cloth made from anti-tarnish silver cloth to prevent any further contamination when I leave them over any long period of time (like in safety deposit boxes-where I keep mine).
