Motto on SS Daggers ??

Hello All,
What is known on the exact date of the introduction of the motto” Meine Ehre heist Treue!” for the SS? As found on Daggers and buckles. Why was this motto chosen by the SS and by whom??
As a buckles collector I don’t have lots on books on daggers and I cannot fiend any reliable information on the subject.
By reliable I mean copies of original letters or regulations on the subject, not literature in dagger-books with no evidence on reliability of the given explanation.

The best I can come up with is in Tom Wittmann's book,where he states that in the June 1936 issue of 'Die Klinge',the completed designs of the SA ans SS daggers were personaly approved by Hitler in the summer of 1933.
