I have a quick question can this piece of the Dagger be removed without breaking it?

Hi Kenneth.

In answer to your question, NO !

The pommel on a DRK is all part of the hilt assembly. The grip plates can be unscrewed and the blade is riveted to the tang which would also be difficult to remove.
Why do you need to remove the pommel?
