      Hi,

What follows is just my opinion based upon what I can see in the pics you posted, but I'm a little nervous about the NS insignia on your dagger. From what I can tell, it may have been added later. I say this for 2 reasons. The insignia is absolutely mirrorlike and unscratched which is not comensurate with the condition of the rest of the knife. Also, it looks like I can see just a hint of white material peeking out between the diamond and the grip plate, indicating that this may be glued in. I don't mean to offend, but this is what noticed. Maybe it's just the pics. Hopefully it's just me and others will chime in with different opinions. I'm always learning more about this hobby too, even after the last 15 or so years I've been in it. I just tend to view most of these knives with a bit of skepticism just because they ARE so rare but HJ daggers (for use as starting materials to produce NS messers) are still a bargain.

I have the same observation as Josh.

Zeugmeister, does the emblem "wiggle" if you try to move it with your finger?

          Hi,
the Insignia have some little Scratches, it isn`t Brandnew !
I have no Doubt about this Knive, it came a few Years ago, for a few Bucks, direct from the attic of a house in the former " DDR ".

          Regards

The grip looks like it has normal considerable wear, flattening out some of the black plastic 'diamonds'. What does the reverse of the hilt look like - can you post a pic showing the reverse and the rivets - any damage around the rivets?

            Regards
            Russell
