    Keep em peeled

I'l let the pictures do the talking, my thanks to Bill Warda for the pictures and dressing her up and my thanks to JR for sorting out the payment for me. An Ebay piece I had to bid on just before I flew to the Max show, I put a high bid in but never thought I would get it, it finished whilst I was still flying, imagine my surprise when the next morning I checked and found I had won it, the seller would only sell to the States so I had it sent to Bill and got JR to send some certified funds as I was staying with him at the time.
Keep em peeled guys. For you guys who may not know this was an unknown maker for one of these.

    Gary

              WoW Gary!
I was watching that one and never having seen a Shuttelhofer DJ dagger before I was kinda skeptical. Being Ebay and all that comes with that venue. Your pics realy show the daggers true beauty.

Still some good stuff on Ebay if you know what you are doing. Congrats Mate!

This piece is a German hunting dagger from the 3rd Reich period, the association was known as the "Deutscher Jägerschaft", the leader was Herman Göring. As with most types of daggers there were various makers, for those of us who collect them the thrill is always to find one in nice condition and to find a new maker is extra special, value would be anywhere between $1500 and $3000, two makers(Eickhorn and Alcoso)made a short deluxe version which trade for much more. Three makers made a long deluxe version(AW Jnr, C&J and Horster), these three are very rare, A few makers used a deluxe pommel as this piece shows, others used a more simplier design. The knot and frog shown with this piece did not come with it but are original, the frog can trade for $200-$500 depeding on the type and the knots can go for between $300-$600 again depending on the variation or type.

                          Cheers
