Yep, that's the one. Think it opened after lunch at 2.30pm then closed again at 4.30pm. The guy who owns it is quite an old guy so sometimes i reckon he takes a rest! I think he is one of the organisers for the Brecon fair.
It wasn't really cheap or anything, but got a discount. I asked about HJ knife but he didn't have one & he's a bit wary of them due to all the fakes. He did have a couple of other daggers, KM i think.

You guys are talking aboyt 'Rays' shop in Aber.
He nearly closed last year through ill health. He had been dealing since the 60's. I pop in for a chat about twice a week. He's not open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and if he decides to open any other time its from about 11am-12.30 then 2pm-4pm.
His stock is usual run of the mill stuff, but does get the odd nice thing in now and then. A few deacts, british medals, cap badges etc. Anything nice usually goes quickly through the local grapevine !
He has a batch of German stuff recently ( I saw the ground Rohm also) 3 EK1, 4 EKII, 5 or 6 KVK various, some shields etc..
Happy hunting.... I'll be there before you !!!!

              Hi Rich!
Certainly took to Ray, a decent guy
He's got some EK's in stock but didn't look at them as i was spent up though i was tempted by the cased EKI, but being an L15 marked one i wasn't going to take the risk as there's more Floch L15's than real ones! Nice catch if it's a real L15 at that price.
You'll definitely be back before me I'm ever so more eager to take my Mum back to Crickhowell where she's from now i've found Ray's shop

                uuummmmmmm

i do the ecology side of it, bats, badgers and otter surveys.... but yes for the dark side, been on it 3 years back when it was fields and you were gaurenteed to see barn owls, not any more

usualy there a few days each month although iam in hibernation till april now when everything wakes up, boring report writing to do now

theres also the two dealers at the flea market on a weds which can occassionally have some interesting stuff

I am in architecture myself so have a bit to do with the bat n' barn owl surveys when they are needed on conversion work etc....

Yes, the other dealers on the wendsday can come up with some interesting things, the one is a bit expensive and the other one from bristol isnt there all the time.

Just one more thing about taking care of the dagger: avoid the contact of WD40 with the grip. It is not the stuff that wood likes to be treated with.

Worked some of the dirt from under the crossguards, years of black muck! Not finished yet, will try & post some pics when finished, very busy at the moment.
