    They're plated, it's just they don't have much wear. If you look closely at the corners you can see the wear and determine it's plated. Although the eagle in the handle looks like the early quality ones I've had on early SA daggers.
    Usually these plated ones are in bad condition when I see them. The last two RZM SA's I had a call on were dogs. This is the best conditioned one I've ever got out of the woodwork..

      Perry:Just teasing you a little!Many display them the way they were worn.I still get teased at another site for an Eickhorn Heer dag. I posted with the trade-mark on the obverse of the blade instead of the reverse!That's the way I got it,and that's the way I like it!
      But no matter how you choose to display your's,it still looks great!!

          Hi,
          The moto placement on the blade is a little bit poor,it runs out of true ie. the begining is higher than the end?

            If you compare it to other SA daggers I'll think you'll find this motto and it's placement is considered "textbook"..
