Help needed markings on 1st mod. Luft

I recently purchased a First Model Luftwaffe dagger with nickle fittings. Its a bit rough and tarnished but all there. The seller didn't notice the markings on the scabbard side as well as the underside of the cross guard probably due to the tarnish. It is engraved.....FL.ST.FEA.23.5....again it is on the side of the upper scabbard band and under the crossguard. If the blade is pulled out, on top of the scabbard is stamped...STAB 5...Is there anything researchable in the markings? I'm not a dagger collector per se but collect what makes my heart beat faster. I've always loved the first mod. Luft's. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Couldnt hurt to post this over in the Order of battle section. Someone over there would probobly have some regiment info for you.

Unfortunately the markings are - as is the case here - pretty cryptic. I'm sure they meant something to the Luft guys, but I have never been able to make heads or tails of them
