Where Are Some Other Members?

With a minor exodus from other collector associations/sites, I anticipated an increase in visitation and membership to this particular forum here on WAF. Are there new members that made the transition or have dual membership? (little play on words...dual membership )

I think there's a lot of us that have membership in other places with varying degrees of activity on each site. That said, things seem to be in a strange transition stage now. Truth be told, I'm just tired of the horsecrap. Let's just talk about the edged weapons & leave the shenanigans & egos elsewhere.

I'm with ya. I stay out of the muck. Yet I am still curious to see how everything pans out. I hope for the best. There are alot of great guys who are edged weapon collectors. A wealth of information, knowledge, and experience to draw upon. It would be a shame to loose all of those resources, not to mention the bonds that were made, both on a professional and personal level.

I always hoped this site would pick up but nope!

Folks come to sell or buy here and lurk!

GD has been chasing folks away by the droves but
the edge weapon section just gets zilch here!

Can't figure out why!

I'm one of the dual members, but I never post there. I avoid the personality and ego thing as much as I can. Many old threads there are highly educational, but I keep my active presence here.

I agree with you about there being a lot of old, valuable threads on GD. The shame of it is many of them are evaporating day by day because of the crummy software they went to in 2004. A lot of the info & pictures on those threads will be lost forever as some of those posters have died, some were chased away from GD & others are just too fed up to bother reposting. A shame indeed.

Hello everyone,

I just happened upon this thread, and was previously unaware of this. I am also sorry to hear that such valuable, esoteric information has been lost forever. After all, it's forums like this that really provide some of the most specific information that a collector will ever need. They're the best sources for different opinions, perspectives, and the little-known facts on just about everything related. I wouldn't even know where to begin looking in books for some of the information I can easily find on here, through a search or a new thread. Sad news, indeed!

Do you think that it's relatively quiet, due to the MAX and JAG shows coming up?...I know that I don't trust myself as far as spending is concerned, when I come in here.....)
