They are desirable, but also heavily faked. That's why most people, including me are not drawn to them.

rivots

Hi,
What metal/ colour are the rivots holding the knife together,these were made with steel rivots and the fakes with brass ones.I have never seen such carvings on these before,quite unusual.

FJ Knife

You've got an interesting FJ Knife (1st Model) with some possibly 'TR Period' Carvings on the Plates (Scales).

Are they TR Period??? No one will EVER know - unless there is an unbroken chain of possession / provenance...

Condition is a 6-7 out of 10:
a. Sharpened Blade..
b. Head rivets showing through (from pounding).
c. 'Altered' Scales...

BUT .....it would be a real KEEPER for an Africa Corps Collector or FJ Guy...

Buy the new FJ Book ..... & see if anything like it is illustrated...

As shown, IMO the selling price would be $500-$600. Dave/dblmed

Great thanks for the info ....looks like the rivots are silver/gray in color.
