This appears to be genuine. Of course, I could be proven wrong.

      Hmm

Not my specialty, but seems to be a parts dagger with what is most likely a fake Rohm inscription. In particular I do not like how the wood does not really fit the crossguards.

The dagger has promise, but I would be reluctant to buy a Rohm SS solely by looking at pictures. From what I can see, the grip appears to have been repaired - to what extent I can' tell, but the finish looks odd. The photos aren't the best in terms of detail...is the seller offering a fair return/inspection period?

Is the piece being offered by a dealer or an individual?

          Be Very Careful.....

BE VERY CAREFUL..... As Skipper & Others have noted...

An SS Rohm is the centerpiece of ANY SS Dagger Collector...

As such, they command a price of $11,000 - $15,000 USD.....

There are no bargins ..... just the REAL DEAL.....

Unless you have full Inspection & Return ability ...then walk away...

          IMHO....... Dave/dblmed

Based on these photos there's not a lot I could add except to point out that these have become so expensive that smallest nonconformity to the "norm" can reduce the price by half. This has promise, but something about the finish, maybe just the photos, looks unusual.

                Hello,
I think the grip has some serious issues.
But the rest of it shows no serious red flags. However the inscription seems a little "fat", but it may be just the pics.

This is a promising dagger indeed!

                Cheers,

That SS number 1093 is identifiable to a SS officer.

                  Cheers,

If it is a fake, then someone's also been quite resourceful about finding a traceable SS officer's number. That's really scary...

As an Eickhorn, it MUST have an assembler number on the bottom of the lower crossguard. Ask for a picture.

The grip shape doesn't look correct for an Eickhorn to me. Also, the eagle's wings don't appear to be in the widest part of the grip.

What about the placement of the maker mark, shouldn't it be closer to the lower crossguard or does that only hold for Himmler's?

I wonder how far the motto is down the blade, it looks to me to be out slightly

Tough call... I think a hands on inspection would be best.
