need help on IDing this knife was it really made during WW2 or is it a fantasy piece. story is it was taken off a SS soldier during the war.

I first saw these in the mid 1980s--they were marketed by Collector's Armoury/Unique Imports, if memory serves, in the $8-$10.00 range.
They came out just after the AH pocket knives, and were marketed by the same companies.
