I THINK YOU HAVE TO BE Association Member to post pictures
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                    For future reference

                    Hey,

for future reference on maker marks, I would highly suggest the following:

                    http://www.germandaggers.com/referen...makermarks.htm

Besides, the dress bayo seems to be a very early, pre-war type in my opinion.

why do you think it's a dress bayonet ? I don't know a lot of these things
But I think its a Mauser K98 bayonet, becouse there is a groove so you can slide it on the rifle,

                          Hi

It's a dress bayonet, because it is nickel plated and made for parade, not for combat. It's a KS98 dress bayonet. Yours seems imperial.

                            Hi

Besides, please note that the groove means that you can put it on the rifle, but would only be used to accompany the dress. The old style checkering is elongated in nature when compared to Third Reich examples of dress bayonets.

P.S.: Sorry for the double post..
