Question: Police Bayonet Knot

Gents,

Came across a police bayonet knot, but not sure what it's worth. I did a little research, and found them from USD 70-90.00.

Leather strap, silver bullion embroidered.
Pink acorn insert and pink embroidered lines on the acorn.

Pretty good condition, minor flaws.

Any idea if it's worth picking up? Price was about $65.00.

Not a police knot (green highlights) but a fire department knot (pink highlights). Seems a bit high to me for a used Feuerwehr Portepee.

I think $65 is a decent price if the knot is in relatively good condition. Not that I'm happy with paying it but judging from dealers' sites & Eban lately, $65 isn't out of the realm of reality. I would say a slightly worn bulb is fine & might even add character to a nice bayonet, just so long as the strap isn't too brittle & in danger of splitting.
