      Yes, hats off to you Sir. This looks very nice. The Aluminum runes button often causes needless concern, rest assured they are sometimes seen. This is a nice example of a rare sword. I've been on the hunt for one myself!

          When I was a kid in the 60s/70s, my neighborhood friend's Dad had one of these that he brought back from the war. I have always wanted one!! If this came from central Iowa, perhaps it is the one from my youth

            You'd have to check with JR, but I believe he told me that the sword came out of Ohio; from the family of the veteran who "captured" it.

            Again, thanks for all the nice comments. They make me feel so good I'm tempted to buy a second one. Would any of you gentlemen wish to contribute towards that worthy cause?
