Could I please have some Help to Identification the SA Unit stamped on this dagger, marked "Mar Br 4/138" on the cross guard and scabbard.

Unfortunately the dagger is cased and I would have to disrupt a lot to get at it to photo, but I do have this picture of the maker mark.

It should stand for 'Marine Brigade' --I haven't found it in my lists, but I'll keep checking. Is this a standard SA dagger--brown and nickel?

Sir, in all respect, if the second logo that you show is on your SS dagger, you may want to look at it a little closer and compare it to the one on your SA. JR

Yes standard SA brown anodised scabbard nickel fittings. The maker marks look the same but for the camera angle they were taken at. I will get the SS dagger out and measure the marks properly latter.
