    Weimar or Reichswehr Bayonet Questions

Please let me know your thoughtson this. A very good condition bayonet with matching numbers. Manufacture number: S 178 K, which I assume is unknown Solingen maker and Serial number 686 B. There are no markings on the spine. Both the bayonet and scabbard are stamped with what I think is the Weimar period acceptance stamps.

Any information would be helpful and if someone could give me an estimation of what one like this would be worth.

    Thanks in advance.

    Brad

your bayonet was made by Gebr.Heller, Marienthal bei Schweina, Thueringen in 1934. S/xxx are first codes used by Nazi Germany in years 1934-1937

Value for an original, matching 1934 "K" date bayonet should easily be $200 and higher.
Adding an original matching S42K rifle to it might help the value a little -
            say another $4,000 to $5,000??
