These are the cross guards from the SA dagger that I had posted earlier under this link http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=223151. After discussion with Paul, he recommended that I post these to see what everyone else thought. Here are the issues:
1. Both top and bottom have an RZM mark stamped on them
2. The bottom is stamped SA and the maker of the blade is not known to have used this stamp before, plus both letters are capitalized.
Does anyone have or have seen these markings before??
What it looks like if everything is proven false about this setup is that the Russian soldiers took to putting daggers together from parts or making daggers themselves. I got this from deep in Russia from a vet back in the '90s.
