Veteran's Dress Bayonet?

Heya guys,

I wanted to ask some of you about the following dress bayonet that I ran across. It has a veteran's badge on the grips. Do you think that it has been added there or original to the piece.

Hi Jan,

Sorry I didn't see this until now. The bayonet itself looks nice but one always has to scrutinize any sort of grip emblem. On this one, the bayonet has very little wear but the emblem seems somewhat worn. The rivets look good so I'd say the only way to know for sure is to check to see if the emblem is glued to the grip or pinned through it. There's many fakes out there so it always pays to be skeptical at first.

Thanks for your feedback. The item has been sold already. I think that it could have been either customized by the owner or perhaps added recently. The seller already sold the piece so he could not tell me whether it was glued or not. I will be safer supposing it was added there after the war
