    Army Dagger-Good Or Bad

I am primarily a headgear collector and was asked to find out if this Army Dagger is good or bad.

Would one of our members please give it a thumbs up or thumbs down.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Ron I´m not a dagger expert and have only a few daggers in my collection and no army ones. So I will hope some others than me will help you out. But IMO this dagger is an modern reproduction the grip looks like cheap plastic, the metal parts looks also like cheap chrome and from the blade I would expect Crossgraining due to its condition.
But lets hear some more opinions as I said my knowledge about army daggers are very limited!

                Cheers

                  It's a reproduction.

                    Robert Klaas Army Dagger

I have an early Klaas dagger and the example shown doesn't have a Klaas style eagle. As to the scabbard, is there an "*" on the weld seam of each suspension ring hoop? This feature is unique to Klaas Army's.

Sorry to add on, but definately a reproduction. Bad all the way around.

                        Curiosity,
What's the age of this repro?

Also, notice the lack of cross-graining on the blade.

I don't think that this dagger is a reproduction. Just a really f*cked up original.

What I see from the pictures is a late Klaas Army with a plaster filled grip that has been POLISHED and BUFFED to DEATH! The hilt parts may have been subsiquently chromed or nickled as sometimes is seen with Lugers and P-38's.

                          What a shame.

Never seen anyone chrome dagger parts before, possible... Wish I could see it in person. Either way not a dagger I'd purchase.

Sorry but IMO 100% fake dagger.
