HJ Knife with moto opinions please

Hi everyone. just recieved this knife via ebay sold as genuine, it looked ok to me in the pics but on arrival iam disappointed.

i believe that the blade and scabard is ok but the bakerlight is fake and so presumably the diamond too, its fixed solid.

but the grips to me feel and just look bad, hopefully pics will show that, iam not sure whether to keep it as it has the moto or to send it back. It cost me ******163;115 $228 US now is that ok as it is would you keep or return?

heres a few pic, i do hope iam being over cautious i do like the blade, being relatively new to hj knives iam going on what ive read in books, on forums ( yes i know not everyones correct) and gut feeling and i do hope iam wrong on it!

cheers for your help most appreciated

    mike

      Mike,
Like i said to you by PM, the knife has a clear wear on the hilt and on the other pars of the metal estructure, but like you say, the bakerlight and diamond arent very convincing, so can you post a picture of this joint of both sides?

      Thanks

            Many thanks for the pics.
It is obviously that somebody replaced the grip, it looks like it was glued with that black thing ==> not good.
Although the blade and metal work is original and period IMO, i would say to send it back and get your money back, that piece its not worth 228 dollars.
            All the best,
            Santiago

Yep, i guess it's a "parts" dagger, the blade is good but the grips are definitley ill fitting replacements. I would send it back.

The grips are the same style used on modern reproductions.
