    Police Water Protection

    Hello,
just need your feelings about this dagger.
Having it in hands, I'm tending to consider it is a period item even if there is "marriage" parts.

    Good Luck.
    Alex.

PS: if there is no access to the images, just let me know.
    I'll repost them here.

Too many problems for me...mismatched parts, wear to/condition of the grip is not commensurate with the rest off the piece, really rough blade, the list goes on and on

    Hope that helps!

      Hello Skip.

      Great call!

No one should purchase anything that is comming out of the Eastern Block Contries. They have been asswmbling and faking daggers allot over the past seven years.

      This dagger isn't any different

Skip and Bob are absolutly correct. This dagger is not correct for the reasons stated by others. Save your money.

Hello and Thanks for your comments.
as I mentioned before, most likely I have a "marriage" piece but with help of original parts ???
most likely, I have to stay away if I have here a common piece but it is not often seen one.
Have someone of you got a chance to examined it having in hands ?
to have an imagination of the work's quality and traces of those old tools ?
I'm not going to calm myself down, but there are a lot of points have to be discussed.
I'm going to take the whole dagger except of the blade to Stuttgart Fair to show it to Craig Gottlieb and others.
            Will see.
@ Bob. Have to note I'm from Russia, a little bit different part of the modern World.
and please, remind me if there are not many of smart guys around you within States as such

              Alex,

Obviously none of us have had a chance to handle the dagger in question, but - at least in my case - there is no need to. Quite simply, it is not a correct, original dagger, but rather a bunch of tired, mis-matched parts and altered/tampered-with pieces.

In your initial post you very plainly asked us for our "feelings" about the dagger and that's exactly what you got. Sorry if we didn't tell what you wanted to hear.

              Better luck next time
