    Heer Dagger identification

    Kameraden,

A co worker loaned me his Eickhorn Heer dagger to identify. I attempted to go to a few collectors web sites to learn more about the various different types of Heer daggers but I quickly became confused with all the different variations. About the only thing I was able to tell is that this is not a glass handled dagger!! I also noticed a huge price variation in the daggers. Since my co worker will most likely be interested in selling this, I'd like to be able to give him a range he can expect to be in.

The dagger is complete with portapee and hangers, although the hangers are a bit rough. I was very impressed with the detail of the oakleaves that decorate the dagger. I am an "SS dagger guy" but I was very impressed with this daggers attention to detail.

It looks to be 100% un messed with and there is a nice dark patina over the entire metal surface. The rear of the dagger hilt seems to have 3 initials scratched into it

Thanks in advance for your help!
