    Opinions on this blade

I purchased this dagger from Military Warehouse when it was first posted. It's an NSKK engraved to an American Capt Linton A. Barnes, stationed in Nordhausen, Germany sometimes in 1945. Pictures on the website were not the best but I took a chance. I received it today and this shape of the blade is in really bad condition. On top of that I believe that it is a reproduction blade. The motto is really light and very poorly defined as is the RZM maker mark M7/33 on the back. The blade has a sharp cental ridge as well. I've already contacted the seller and it's packed up ready to ship out tomorrow, but I wanted to post before it goes as I don't know much about blades.

A lot of the later model RZM daggers had the higher ridge down the centre of the blade and a lot of them didn't have the same etching standard as the earlier made daggers.

You will need better pictures than the ones shown, which means you'll have to wait until you receive it.

Has the Seller given you an inspection period on it?

Photos of the grip and eagle placement may help provide more information as well as closers of the fittings, etc.

For curiosity sake, i'd like to hear more from other members on this one.
