Found this one while sorting through estate, has S/242 adjacent to crossguard on blade with #6559a on opposite site, appears to be normal WWII K98 but as the "butcher blade sawback" exactly like the enlisted red cross hewer. Did they have sawbacks in WWII, doesnt appear to be converted blade, extra photos on request.

Its a certainly a postwar sawback, the tooths of a functionaly saw could not go to only one side. and they are very shallow, the scabbard is from older Sg84/98nA of WW1, could You send details of the date on spine of blade near crossguard? The piece was accepted probably with WaA253 on pommel? best regards,Andy
