Double edged, brass knuckled, fighting knife. What country?

Does anyone know what country this knuckle knife was made in.

It is very well made with a fine carbon steel blade.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Hi Chuck, it is a British Middle Eastern Commando knife. (Sometimes called by US collectors the "Deathshead pattern knife", as the hilt looks like a skull's eye sockets and nose. ) Originals come with many variations to the basic design.

These are much reproduced and there was also a similar version made in India in 1951 as a special commemorative issue for the Jodhpur City Volunteer Corps on the occasion of the wedding of a local Princess.

            Hope this helps?

            Cheers, Ade.
