unknown bayonnet with skull and bones

Does anyone know what this bayonnet is and where it is from? I do not think it is German and I would guess that it is probably WW1 period or sooner?? What do you think? Cheers, Torsten.

      Torsten,
The bayonet is Yugoslavian and was supposedly made for the bodyguard unit of King Aleksander I (1921-1934). They were made at the Kraguyevac Arsenal in 1933 and only about 1000 were made. They are very rare. I have no idea what it would be worth. Hope this helps a little.

Hi John, thank you very, very much for the info...this one has just been offered to me...I will see, if I can find out some more info on it or a guide price somewhere and lets see what the seller would like to have for it...

The grip on the bayonnet appears to be a very unusual shape...what rifle was it made for? Where was it supposed to fit? I assume that only the skull and crossbones identify this one is being for the bodyguard or is the rest of the bayonnet something special and purpose build also? Cheers, Torsten.

          Torsten,
Glad to be of some help. The bayonet and scabbard were specially made only for this elite unit as far as I know. They were made to fit a special Carbine Model 1932-Kindjahl-type. I do not know if the rifle was made only for this unit. Maybe someone else will be able to add more information or maybe you could check out the internet. I do not know if reproductions of it have ever been made but the one in your pictures looks pretty good.

I am afraid I was too slow to make up my mind on the bayonnet...the seller just told me that he sold it yesterday.... Cheers, Torsten.
