    is it an error 44 - 43 but the same serial number ??? or perfect condition ???

    The only thing that makes this bayonet that expensive is that there are people stupid enough to pay that sort of price for it.

          jeez.. at this prices I should contact that buyer and sell him all mine - including mint ones.. for like... $500 a piece...

            A matching dual date from this period is rather rare and for some unknown reason to me, 1944 and 1945 dated bayonets are highly collectible to TR bayonet collectors. Also, certain manufacturers are in greater demand and this piece was one of those that is in demand. If you look at the number of different bidders it is obvious that the interest is there in this case.
