What type of dagger is this and how much is it worth? I was offered it but I wasn't sure about the dagger.

I think Gailen's description of it on his site is as good as anyones. As for value, he lists it for $30. If you think its too high offer him less.

EIG Cutlery used left over blades and some original parts in the early 1950s and sold to the US market, especially army surplus stores. I had a set of three throwing knives made by this company from SA Blades (only the lower part and the grip was the rest of the blade ground down into a painted small handle (no motto or TM left). These were also marked to the PIC company. They came in a leather scabbard that held three in stagger configuration and had different painted grips: red, green and blue.

PS I have seen a knife similar to the one pictured with an original Eickhorn Feldherrnhalle blade with motto used in one of these years ago. Needless to say, it went fast and the blade was salvaged.Comment
