    Thanks,

This looks like a job for Bob Rodgers! I cheecked my (admittedly limited) library of reference books on other than Third Reich daggers and came up empty-handed. Definitley not Third Reich German, though.

      Hi Skip,

      Thanks for the reply.

Any idea how to get Bob Rodgers to have a look at this dagger ?

            Hey Skipper

Life has gotten easier for me.

Since i decided to re-direct the collectio into military only. I have had about 80 % less work to do.

Man i love it, but there are times i do fell im forgetting something. Maybe thats because my life prior to this decision was nothing but GO GO GO.

It's nice to be able to stop by .

              Hi Bob,

              Thanks for the identification.

This dagger belongs to an Austrian friend of mine. So it's not mine to sell. He got it himself from the widow I mentioned. As Austria had its own Navy at some time, we thought it might have been a dagger from that time.

Hmmm, Danish, I wonder how it got to Austria.

Any way, I'll tell my friend the good news on the identification.

Thanks again, and all the best focussing on collecting. By the way, doesn't spending less hours at work mean lesser money to spend on the collection ? Or did you find a path in the middle ?

              MfG,
              Bart

                dagger

I guess i need to explain a little clearer.

I didn't get more time off work. All i did was re-direct my time collecting, which in turn saved me 3-4 hours daily.

Now that im not trying to buy every world and german made daggers, i dont spend that much time doing it after work and on weekends.

Here is what my OLD days used to be like:

wake up 430 am, spend 1 1/2 hours searching the net or answering emails.

6 am get ready for work,

                630 leave for work,
return home at 530 to 600

                630 get on net,

1130 get off net and sleeep.

                weekends

                up at 530 am.
                6 am on net,
                6 pm dinner
                7pm on net
                1200 midnight go to bed.

New hours! are about 40% less
