When daggers first come around, they used logo's. Then went to the number system (ie: 941 for eickhorn) then to rzm?

Logos only up until 1936. Then the transistional period between 1936 to 1938 saw the RZM taking more control, so you can often see a maker's mark along with the RZM mark. Actually you can probably spot the double stampings until as late as 1939. By 1940, it was RZM only.
RZM style codes for SS daggers were phased in over time but can be seen as early as 1936 on say a Luneschloss blade. By about 1937, SS daggers had their RZM number and SS codes were starting to be etched in As to "exact dates" for SS codes only, who knows... there are quite a few SS codes still unknown.
