    Maarten,

Horst Wolff was a distributor of fire equipment during the III Reich period, not a manufacturer.
    Hope this helps....

Yes - there were many distributors who marked the blades of both Feurwehr and KS98 bayonets. Horst Wolff, although not rare, is one of the less seen ones and is found only on Feurwehr bayonets. Here are some pics of a few other distributors as well.

Collecting the bayonets by maker and distributor can be a fascinating area of WWII collecting.

                        Maarten,

Denny's just showing off again . I collect fire bayonets and happen to prefer distributor marks as they tend to be more rare and many of them are distinctive only to fire bayonets. Horst Wolff was one of the distributors that only retailed fire products. My favorite would be Linnenbrügger & Ellermann, Bielefeld. Their logo was a fire helm with the firm's initials and a swaz, to my knowledge they were the only firmt ohave a mark that included a swaz.
