    Hanger bands question.

I have a Heer dagger thats oak leaves and acorns face the wrong way on the hanger bands when compaired to other Heer daggers. It is a late war unmarked dagger with aluminum bands. Any ideas? I am also thinki9ng of selling it if it is not a fake, what would be a fair "WAF" price for it?

    Thanks for any info.

The scabard has some rust on it that I tried to remove with WD40.
Thanks for the help in advance.

                Jason,

I don't see anything that raises any red flags for me on your dagger.

Bands going in the opposite direction are not unknown. Some makers just chose to orient the oakleaves that way.

                Just some thoughts.

Thank you Tony. I get all wound up anytime I think about selling anything. There are so many bad items in the hobby that I get uncertain about my knowledge of daggers when I get the urge to sell an item.

                    Hello Jason ,
the bands are well known in an other direction . The dagger looks genuine to me . Mostly the metall parts and the finnish from crossguard, pommel and scabbard-bands are the same cast, here are different .May be , a late dagger . Perhaps Denny Roach can say more !

Thanks for the reply. I too think it is a late war dagger. Any idea what a fair value would be?
