I would pass on this dagger .Parts ! - the fit grip to crossguard is bad , the blade is polished ,that's why the maker mark looks not clearly , i mean the blade is genuine .The scabbard new painted .

i dont know if I agree with that, I cant see no problem with the fittings. And you still see the crossgraining. Remember this is a RZM piece, quality was much lower than on the earlier pieces.

I agree that the dagger is original and typical of the later RZ-marked pieces. I would pass on it just the same, thought, as you will be much happier down the road with an early, maker-marked example.

like I said the quality is lower,, but at that price its still a good buy! Condition is also very good, so you will never have a problem selling it. Might even place a bid myself on that one.

While I can believe the dagger is original, do you guys think the scabbard paint is too? I was leaning toward the earlier comments that the scabbard might be a repaint and was curious what others thought.

I don't like it. Not because it is a fake, but in my opinion, it has been "tampered."

Look at the pic of the grip. If you see the top where the upper crossguard is "indented" to fit the wooden crossguard, both the left and right sides of the wooden grip are "level" to the crossguard, like it should be. However on the bottom, it seems like the bottom of the grip has been "cut away," making the wood fit "too low."

Look closely at the obverse bottom grip. You can see areas where the wood has chipped away.
