On the Collector to Collector website, he has a 2nd Luft with a large Tiger trademark listed (nice dagger!). In the description, he states there is only one other known with such a trademark. Are they that scarce? Thanks!

Question about Tiger trademark...

Hi John!
That is my dagger actually. Any 2nd Luft by Tiger I would put into the “scarce” category. The TM on this dagger has only been seen on 1 other dagger which was part of a large 2nd Luft collection. The second example I am speaking of was just sold by a dealer who surprisingly did not know how rare it was.
TTW saw this dagger at the Max since the seller wanted to show it to him out of interest. Whittman also concurred with my belief in the rarity.
If anyone would like you are welcome to post my pictures and make a comparison between other Tiger TMs on 2nd Luft daggers.
Best Wishes,
Bob

Found One Today...
I know - it's 2008 now....
being offered a Luft Dagger, I browsed the forum for TIGER SOLINGEN - would this piece here be legit? This and only ONE other hit came up in the search, was this maker maybe a pretty small firm? Anyway - opinions appreciated, I guess the leather tab at the end of the hangers doesn't originally belong, but (from my little knowlege on these) everything else seems legit... objections?
Any comments appreciated
Best Regards

You´ve been offered a "Luft-Zwo" from the maker Lauterjung & Co. Tiger Stahlwaren u. Waffenfabrik, Solingen
This is the "later one", (the Tiger stands in the left of the maker´s-mark).
I´ve got also one of these in my collection, (If you´re also a member in the "MFF", you may see pic´s).
Regards,
Reibert

Thanks for the response Reibert, I'm not a member there (YET), but if you could send me the link I can at least get some more information in on these - except for a ground dug SA dagger, I have never owned a dagger before, maybe I'll start off with this one, a question of mad money of course, so I'll reconsider.
Thanks again
Rainer
