    New LW Gravity Knife

    Hi

I must confess that I dont know much about knives at all but I bought this Gravity knife from a trusted source to add to my LW/FJ collection. I wondered if anyone could tell me any more about it, i.e. is it a gravity knife, a take down gravity knife, is there a difference? Also is there anything special that I need to do to store the knife and keep any mechanisms in tip top condition. All comments welcomed

Appears to be a nice example of a takedown gravity knife by SMF. The takedown version is most easily identifiable by the blued finish, the square button in the grip and the the arrow on the bolster.

          Hope that helps,

Looks nice, is the blade matching numbered to the case?

What are the arrows all about?
At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

The arrows match up so it is assembled correctly.
