          Nice piece, but it's missing the lower scabbard fitting which will hurt it's resale value.

            thanks for the fast reply, what should i be giving for a knife like this or should i leave it with its fitting missing,and wait for a better 1

              I would hold out for a complete example. You might find a lower scabbard fitting and you might find the screws, but the patina will likely never match and - in the eyes of many potential buyers - you'll always have a "parts" piece.

                thanks for the help as you can tell i am not up on daggers,but i will leave this dagger,and like you advise try and get a origional non parts piece, regards dave
