    Troddel colors

New to this! Does anyone know what the troddel color pattern is for Heer artillery, 1st battalion and either 2nd or 3rd battery. I'm trying to find one to add to an officer's short dress bayonet my father brought back. He was an army artillery officer with both the second and third batteries of his battalion, which was a bastard battalion formed from the 1st Bn/166 FA. Thanks.

    troddel colors

The colors would be 2nd battery red-white-red and 3rd would be yellow-white-yellow. The troddel would be the later ball type. Hope this helps.

      FYI.

Officer's did not wear a colored troddel when they wore a bayonet instead of the dagger or sword. The officer's bayonet was worn with the metallic thread portepee as worn on the dagger.

Heer and Kriegsmarine Senior NCO's wore a silver and green troddel on the bayonet.

Enlisted men were the only ones that wore the color coded troddels to denote the unit.
