Hi Michael I did check the bolster at the hinge point for the spike and thankfully there is a 631--Whew. I really appreciate your input. No problem. My pleasure! Although, I am humbled by the knowledge of most on this site! I have not been a member long as well. I mostly collect Civil War items and a little WWII. The guys have been great. I agree. They are always helpful and very candid! I don't know what you paid for your gravity knife. But, check this example out for comparison. Yours is super and would be similiar.
