I was wondering if you guys could help me. I have a nice Combat Fighting knife. The scabbard for this knife is loose as it will not secure the knife inside if it is rotated upside down. I was wondering if any of you knew of anything that I could do to remedy this problem. I also have a Spanish Bolo Bayonet that I bought for my Mauser that does the same thing. Thanks for taking the time to read this. All the Best , Carlton

There should be a metal flat, metal, leaf-type spring in the scabbard of boththe knife and bayonet. If so, they need to be bent so as to make them press against the blade of the knife and bayonet. You might be lucky with the bayonet in that the scabbard throat could be secured with screws, allowing you to remove the scabbard throat and work on the springs. With the fighting knife, it may be a bit more of a chore if the spring is secured to the scabbard with a rivet.
Pictures would help, but you need to be an Association Member to post photos.
