    sa dagger gau codes

on an early SA or NSKK dagger i have beeen told that the two letters on the back crossgaurd are a code for the gau that the owner represented is this true? and if so is there a list of codes that will help a person to decipher them thanks for your help frank v. vitts

That is correct and there are lists for them in reference books.

You should purchase the "Fisher Quick Reference" guide, available on this website: http://www.bookswiwo.com/

It will list them all for you and even place where the areas are on a map. It will also list all dagger makers for those areas and it's filled with a whole bunch of other invaluable information.
