    help please

    have heard it talked about and did a search but could not find anything of use can you tell what is the best way to clean a blade? how do you get those black spots off? what should you use? thank you in advance for your advice is appreciated vitts frank v.

    It's hard to advise a proper course of action without being able to look at the blade first. Can you post some clear pictures of the blade in question?

    I ask as there are several options.

    For example.....Some black spots can be on the surface and relatively easily cleaned. Other black spots are the natural aging of the blade steel and the carbon in the alloy is showing it's age. This type of spotting is IN the blade itself and generally doesn't clean up without the blade being over cleaned and ruined for hardcore collectors.

    Just some thoughts.

      Yes... please post some pictures of the blade in question. This will make it easier for members to give ideas.
