Questions about a Eickhorn K98 bayonet

My grandfather has slowly been giving me the items he brought back from Europe.

This morning I got his K98 bayonet. I have a few questions but first let me give a description (pics aren't required).

In addition to numerous WaA marks it says CARL EICKHORN on one side of the blade, 146 on the other side, and 38 on the spine.

So naturally CARL EICKHORN made it in 1938. The scabbard, however, has no markings.

Is this typical of a CE bayonet from 1938?
The frog also has a large H on the back...any idea what company this is?

Hello, no serial letter under number 146? WaA253 should be stamped on parts. Scabbard should be marked in same way, it could be that Your is a replacamant or spare scabbard. Brown plastic grips?best regards,Andy

AS I said before there is also a "38" on the spine and a few WaA marks on the pommel. Scabbard is unmarked.

Thanks for super pictures, it could be a 38/39 switch piece, best regards,Andy
PS it could be a spare piece that was serialed by field depot, while the nr3 in digits is not typical for Eickhorn 1938 production
