Army dagger

Good day!
I have this nice dagger. It looks good to me but i think the velvet at backside of the hangers is modern.
So what do you think about velvet and about this dagger as a whole?
Any opinions are very welcome!

In my opinion : all looks good to me . The dagger parts looks like an Alcoso-dagger . I mean the fittings are in cast brass-metall and the grip is a plaster-filled one .Additional the hanger looks good to me , too .

From the photos, I agree with Tobau. Since you have the piece "in hand" what makes you think the velvet is modern?

Metal parts looks worn. it's ok. But straps.. have not any abrasion on both sides! and even not dirty a little.
I have looked some similar themes. W-A members considered similar hangers are not original.
