Need help in identifying this etched bayonet

    Hi all ,

Once again for the 2nd time im offered an edged weapon at a dirt cheap price BUT again i highly believe its a fake ..

Ive read Wayne H. Techet excellent book on etched bayonet ...and it highly appears to be a current reproduction as seen in page 53 made by a Belgian maker...

    Any idea guys???

The guy also has some medals to offer...

    Ibrahim,

Your instincts are correct. These are well known fakes made from original S84/98 bayonets with postwar etching. Techet is perfectly correct and a new crop of these are also being made now in Europe. Save you money for something original.

These keep turning up like the proverbial bad penny, they must have sold in their thousands. They soon got a bad name for themselves way back, but I guess a new generation of collectors are ripe to be taken for a ride again.
