Luftwaffe Officer Sword lengths?

A quick question on Luft sword lengths. Im not a sword collector but am thinking on purchacing one in the near future to add to my collection. On looking I have noticed many different sword lengths, can anyone tell me what the regulations on sword length were and on what determined it, i.e. different manufacturers etc.

I think sword lengths varied according to the height of the wearer.

Ade is right. Many of the catalogs and point of purchase advertising materials feature charts that provided the prospective purchaser with the correct blade length for his height.

According the Eickhorn tabel:

Officers from 162 cm to 168 the sword is 88 cm
Officers from 170 cm to 178 the sword is 93 cm
Officers from 180 cm to 190 the sword is 98 cm
