    WKC Stag Gripped Short Bayonet

Hello.I have had this bayonet for a long time.It is in beautiful condition outside of the blade being a tad loose. The only problem I have is with the frog.It is LBA 39 marked and it might be a replacement due to a slight wear line on the scabbard, indicating a longer frog might have been there before.Should there be unit markings or a maker mark also present?Does the frog affect value?Any information is greatly appreciated .Sorry for the scuzzy photos.I have a dozen or so daggers I could share if it weren't for my ancient camera and limited know how.Regards,Darrick

The brown colored frog with LBA 39 was probably from Luftwaffe Bekleidungs Amt, LW item, 39 could be for 1939, the grips and green inlet of slot speaks for Jaeger units. Nice piece ,best regards.Andy

I know the answer could be anything, but could someone give an approximate value of this bayonet.I plan to sell it on e-stand and want to know what a fair asking price would be.I've seen price ranges all over the place.Regards,Darrick

Look at Ebay for similar pieces.
