    Polizei dagger

I really do not collect any type of weapons, but yesterday I found for very cheap price this K98 bayonet, I belive it is for parade, since it is cromed, and, belonged to polizei for the green portepee.
There is somebody that can tell to me what model is it, and, less or more
the value that it can reach today?
    Thanks

Looks like an extra cost stag handled KS 98 bayonet with the all green knot for a regimental staff EM.

Nice bayonet. Stag handled versions are my favorite. Who is the maker?

            K98 bayonet

From the photo on the blade is marked Packe & sohne Solingen, no inscription on the blade.
Why other police bayonet has the portepee silver, other silver and green, other again has the scabbard in leather, other is steel (like this one).
I found this one yesterday evening in north Italy, in Dolomiti (high mountain place). I visit an old joiner, for to restore a belief, and, while speaking, I asked about militaria, and he take out this bayonet under the sawdust, still dirty. I love this story, so I decided to buy it for 50 $.
He has also a mint ..... weapon, but I am afraid of this things.

              You did very well.

Police bayonets generally have a stylized eagle's head pommel and the crossguard has an oakleaf desisign. The stag grip will have the police insignia pinned on the obverse side stag grip. The standard police bayonet scabbard is either brown or black leather with metal tips on both ends. The police bayonet knot will be black strapped with red and white stitching.

Can you post pictures of the other mint weapon?

The bayonet pictured is not a Police bayonet. It is, however, a nice example of a dress bayonet with the optional stag grips.

While not designated for the police exclusively, this type of KS98 bayonet with stag grips was worn by some policemen. There are period photos to verify this fact.
