Beautiful Slant grip army by very rare maker

    Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd show a beautiful dagger from a very rare maker. A really nice slant grip to boot. Unfortunately it was polished heavily by the old man who owned it at one stage! This piece belongs to an aquaintence of mine and I'm torn between wanting it and not wanting it, but that heavily polished maker mark spoils it for me I have to admit?( will post a pic of it down the line) What do you guys think? Is there a dagger collector here that can recognise the maker??

    Is it Axt & Hauerfabrik?

Nomatter how rare a maker, a heavily polished blade (the most important part on any edged weapon), would make any Army dagger a 'Dont-want-her' for me.

Personally I don’t mind the polished blade. Nice dagger, well done.

You got to dig like a dog to find them like that.
                  Nice score Billy.

I want to see more of that one....

                    Nice score, Billy.

some would want even the heavily polished one since it so rare.

I have a few dogs in my collection, but a nicer shaped version just hasn't come along yet.
